We craft wines through two distinct production arms, each shaped by its site, soil, tradition and intention.
D.P. Rowe
Elegance and Restraint
D.P. Rowe pays homage to Sarah’s mother, who introduced her to wine and inspired her path in life, steeped in the international cultures of wine and food. The botanical artwork by Ros Franklin speaks to the plants grown in Sarah’s girlhood garden, the roots of her care for the vineyards she works in today.
Made from grapes grown on the chalk of the North Kent Downs, D.P. Rowe wines centre on elegance and purity. Chardonnay and Meunier are fermented and aged in large format oak, with the intention of preserving the tension and mineral clarity from the grapes. This is enhanced by the complexity and depth of flavour oak barrels bring.
Fennica
Clarity and purity
Fennica speaks to the duality of James’ heritage: between England and Finland. His Finnish mother’s influence opened him up to a wider world of European culture, to the spirit of wine regions and diverse people and places. His pride in this Finnish heritage is captured in the woodcut illustrations by Robbie Jones.
Made from grapes grown on the sand and flint soils of Suffolk, Fennica wines express vibrancy and transparency. Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc are fermented on the skins and are then raised in neutral ceramic vessels to preserve fruit clarity and amplify texture.
